British Academy
Film and Television Awards

Our sets for the 2025 editions of the British Film and Television Awards celebrated the power of light as both medium and metaphor.

For the Film Awards, held at the Royal Festival Hall, we created a sculptural installation of cascading golden and LED threads suspended in space. Mimicking beams of light, the threads flowed onto the stage from above in precise lines, symbolising the moment an artist steps into the spotlight. At stage centre, the iconic BAFTA mask was framed in light, grounding the composition in theatricality and presence.

At the Television Awards, this concept was reinterpreted as a bold, upended beacon—a central sculpture formed of golden straps and LED strips. Framed by angled lightboxes bearing abstracted BAFTA letterforms, the design represented the craft and artistry of television. Distinct in tone yet united by a shared visual language, both stages honoured the makers behind the medium, placing their work at the heart of the BAFTA celebration.
