A simple floating sculpture became the centerpiece of our stage set for the 2019 edition of Complex magazine’s Complex Con(versations).
Serving as a backdrop to the conversations, the all-white set that we created could be completely transformed under colorful stage lighting.
Our floating, off-kilter steel and inflatable sculpture was reminiscent of the design of sneakers and streetwear, making it an abstraction of the convention’s subject matter.
Each year, a program of discussion panels take place as part of the wider ComplexCon experience in Long Beach California. The talks – which cover hype culture topics such as music, fashion, and art – are filmed with a live audience and broadcast across the brand’s channels.
